Oak cliff lions are ready... whenever and however our community needs us.
For nearly 100 years, the Oak Cliff Lions Club has been changing lives and making Oak Cliff, the City of Dallas, and the world a better place. We are friends, co-workers and neighbors who have a history of putting others first. We have fun in our club, treating new members like old friends. We are generous women and men who want to help and we're always looking for more caring people whose want to make a difference with us.
Oak Cliff Lions serve locally to meet the unique needs of our community and city. Also, we're uniting globally around some of the largest challenges facing humanity: diabetes, environment, hunger, vision and childhood cancer. We're building on our long-standing tradition of supporting youth by developing new ways to engage them as partners and leaders in service.

EYEGLASSES COLLECTION
YES! The Oak ClIFF Lions Club is again collecting used eyeglasses!
Do you have used eyeglasses that we can refurbish and re-use for our low vision clinics? You may bring them to a Wednesday Club meeting or contact Lion Lila Belitz (lbelitz@gmail.com) for other drop-off options.
HOW ARE THEY USED?
Prescription eyeglasses, on average, cost around $200. Thanks to generous donations of used frames, Lions are able to provide glasses as part of our local low vision screenings. Beyond Oak Cliff and the larger Dallas community, Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center Foundation is located in Midland Texas. They process about 1 million pair of glasses each year to send to other countries for use in providing vision to needy people.
